Your child's first class at Precision is free, takes about an hour, and comes with no commitment. Here's exactly what happens, from booking to the drive home, so neither of you walks in wondering.
Booking the class
There are two ways in:
- Ask us to set it up. Fill in the short form on our free trial page with your child's age and the days that work. We'll text you a class time, usually within one business hour during office hours.
- Book it yourself in the parent portal. Create a Parent Portal account first; a parent or legal guardian has to set it up. Have these ready: your name, phone, address and email, a secondary emergency contact, and your child's details. Then request a trial in the portal, or call the front desk at (909) 483-8161.
Before you leave the house
- Clothes: comfortable athletic clothes or a leotard. No zippers, buttons or jewelry, and long hair tied back.
- Bring: a water bottle.
- Timing: plan to arrive about 10 minutes early. Parking and check-in go faster than you'd think, and a few minutes to look around helps nervous kids settle.
- Talk it through: tell your child what's going to happen: a coach, other kids, and lots of jumping and climbing. For a little one, “it's like a playground with a teacher” works well. Our program pages have short videos of real classes you can watch together.
When you arrive
Check in at the front desk at 9518 E 9th Street B. Then the coach meets the class and leads them onto the floor. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.
What the class itself looks like depends on age:
| Class | Age | What your child does |
|---|---|---|
| Twinkling Stars | Walking to 3 | You're on the floor too. 45 minutes of climbing, rolling and balancing, side by side. |
| Tiny Stars | 3–4 | 50 minutes on their own, in a group of no more than 6 per coach, moving through short stations. |
| Kinder Stars | 5 | 50 minutes of fundamentals: rolls, cartwheel shapes, beam and bars. |
| Academy (girls) | 6+ | An hour on bars, beam, vault and floor, starting at the level that fits. |
| Tumbling | 6+ | An hour of drills on the 60-ft tumbling track, trampoline and foam pit. |
| Urban Ninja | 4+ | An hour of coached obstacle courses: climbing walls, vaults and wall runs. |
If your child is nervous
That's normal, and our coaches see it every week. A few things that help:
- Let them warm up at their own pace. Many kids watch for a few minutes before they join in.
- Say a short, cheerful goodbye if you're stepping back to watch. Then let the coach take it from there.
- Don't worry if they sit out a turn. Kids often come back the next week far braver than they left.
After class
The coach will take a minute to tell you what your child did well, and which class and level fits best. Placement is by ability, not just age, so no one repeats skills they've mastered or jumps ahead too fast.
If you'd like to enroll:
- Where: in the parent portal or at the front desk.
- Tuition: from $88 a month for Twinkling Stars, $114 for Tiny and Kinder Stars, and $130 for Academy, Tumbling and Urban Ninja, plus a $50 annual registration fee.
- Renewal: classes renew automatically each month until you tell the front office you'd like to stop or switch.
Full times and prices are on our schedule and tuition page.
